The Beginning of Boeing
The Boeing Company was founded by William Boeing in 1916. The company was originally located in Seattle and was called the Aero Products Company.
William Boeing
William Boeing was an entrepreneur and pioneer in the industry of aviation. He began his career as a timer merchant, and also became one of America’s most successful horse breeders. In 1916, William Boeing worked together with U.S. Navy Lieutenant Conrad Westervelt to create the B&W Model 1. Shortly after, the Boeing Company was founded.
